Is Fetchmates an app or directory of freelance dog walkers?
Absolutely Not! All of our dog walkers are actual employees of Fetchmates. We do not work with independent contractors. Fetchmates is a REAL pet care company, with real employees.
Are there a minimum number of walks required each week?
No. However, due to limited availability, we cannot accept all “on-call” requests. We prefer a minimum of 2 bookings per week for dog walking clients. The average Fetchmates client books 5 walks per week and maintains a static schedule. Therefore, it may be difficult to accommodate sporadic requests as priority is always given to clients who book daily.
Is Fetchmates bonded and insured?
Yes! Fetchmates is bonded and insured. We also take every precaution to see to it that your companion is always safe in our care.
How can I book walks?
You can schedule walks for your companion by email or online via your private online account 24/7. You may also book service by calling or by texting message (during office hours M – F, 9am – 5pm). Fetchmates can provide walks as early as 8am, and as late as 10pm, 365 days a year.
Are Fetchmates’ dog walkers independent contractors?
Hell no! Our dog walkers are employees of Fetchmates and NOT independent contractors. We value our clients too much to allow an ‘IC’ access to your private home or to your precious companion. By law, a legitimate company is prohibited from training independent contractors. Having actual employees enables us to train our employees in the Fetchmates method of service. Our training is designed to keep your dog safe while respectful of the people they’re sharing the sidewalk with. We can only provide you with the highest quality service when we hire employees and not “IC’s”.
What happens if my regular dog walker is unable to work…or just doesn’t show up at all?
We’ve got you covered! Our highly trained staff posses the skills necessary to serve all clients with the highest quality care every single time. So, if your walker is unavailable for any reason, you’ll always have a trained professional at your doorstep, ready to serve.
Who will have keys to my home?
Unlike most dog walking services that hire independent contractors who walk around with a handful of keys, that can be taken home at the end of the day, lost or stolen, Fetchmates stores keys in a safe secure lock-box in any one of our local our offices. Keys are only accessible to Team Supervisors and then given to walkers to serve clients for the day. So, if no service has been booked, our employees will NEVER have access to your keys. Again, all keys are stored safely in a secure lock-box that is only accessible to Fetchmates Supervisors and Managers.
What type of payment does Fetchmates accept?
Fetchmates has an online platform that enables you to pay your invoices for the previous week online via our safe and secure payment processor. Fetchmates does not accept cash payments!
I’m tired of unreliable dog walkers who don’t do what I’m paying them to do. How are you different?
Here at Fetchmates, we’re on a mission to create the best possible experience for our clients…period! We have an arduous hiring and training process that ensures that we’re always providing our clients with top-notch service. We also have a very strict service policy in place to see to it that you get the level of service that Fetchmates is famous for. Our service policy states: NO cellphone usage while on-duty, NO music, NO food, NO beverages, NO smoking, and NO sitting. Any employee caught engaging in any of these will be fired immediately.
I’m a little nervous about letting total strangers into my home while I’m not there. How can you ease my concerns?
Simple! All of our employees undergo extensive background checks before they are officially hired by Fetchmates. As an added precaution we have a collection of legal documents on file for each employee. So if anything were to happen, they can run but they cant hide.
